Alliance Advocacy: Empowering Your Voice |
The primary objective of the Alliance Legislative Advocacy Program is to provide Alliance Members with the tools to contact their legislators and voice their opinions. As an Alliance Member, you belong to a community of people who are continuously improving their value of life, sharing their experiences and taking action.
You can have a positive impact on future legislation. We encourage members to get involved and make a difference. The Alliance’s 100,000-member voice is key on critical issues — grassroots advocacy, briefing policy-makers, and bringing you face to face with your elected officials.
The Alliance is a non-partisan organization and the association does not directly endorse specific candidates. Rather, we focus our advocacy efforts on specific issues that are important to our members.
Get Involved and Make a Difference
Are you struggling with paying higher taxes every year? Do you worry about the future of your health and lifestyle? The Alliance is committed to being your voice and presenting your opinions to legislators.
By becoming involved you can help us achieve our goals. In fact, you have more influence than our professional legislative staff because you are who Congress needs to hear from – small-business owners, families and individuals who feel the pressures of Washington’s decisions.
The Alliance offers several ways to get involved.
- Alliance Action Team
- Alliance Legislative Advocacy Events
- Online Legislative Action Center
- Updates from the Desks of your Legislators
- Alliance Advance e-Newsletter Surveys
- Alliance Annual Member Survey
By far the most powerful voice we have is yours. Be heard by the decision-makers in Washington, D.C. Call, write or email your legislators and tell them your thoughts and opinions. Get involved because it is only together that we can make a difference.

Representative Tom Feeney speaks to Alliance Members
Representative Tom Feeney (R-FL24th) spoke to Alliance Members in Orlando, FL on September 17, 2007. “It was a distinct pleasure to be able to speak to the Alliance for Affordable Services Membership,” said Representative Feeney, “The entrepreneurial spirit found in self employed and small-business owners is what makes America strong. I am proud to help these individuals by supporting legislation to make health care more affordable and simplifying and reducing their taxes.” Representative Feeney spoke to the audience of Alliance Members about:
- Enhancing small-business tax credits
- Promoting entrepreneurship
- Disaster relief programs
- Improving access and the cost of affordable health insurance
He supports all of these programs and is currently working on drafting and proposing legislation on these topics. The Alliance is excited to have the ability to bring our members face-to-face with the people who are able to make changes in their state and Washington D.C. and tell their story.
