U.S. Representative Daniel Webster (R-FL) says "I look forward to meeting Alliance members later this month in Orlando to exchange ideas about supporting our most vital job creators, small businesses. As we celebrate National Small Business Week, we should continue the dialogue and idea exchange. Washington needs to understand that small business owners are not looking for handouts, but rather they are begging government to lighten their tax burden and remove roadblocks from their path to success."

A recent article noted that “the Senate Finance Committee is enlisting the small-business group Alliance for Affordable Services to survey its members for possible legislative remedies to combat double-digit unemployment numbers that are plaguing the economy.”

The competing demands on the time of small business owner or independent business man or woman leave room for little else, let alone mastering the annual changes to the tax code.
