Health Care Choice Act Needs Your Active Support
Join the Alliance Action Team Today!

Alliance Members will recall that our big legislative priority, the Health Care Choice Act, made real progress in 2005, passing the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee. However, the bill, which will encourage lower health insurance costs by allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines (while maintaining important consumer protections), is waiting to be brought to the floor for a vote before the full House of Representatives.

The Alliance for Affordable Services was instrumental in seeing this bill through the Energy and Commerce Committee. Now it’s time to make sure it passes the House. The Republican leadership is holding off on bringing it to the floor until they are sure they have the votes. E-mail your representatives today. It’s easy – just go to our Web site: http://www.AffordableServices.org/legislat.asp. Type in your zip code and the Alliance Web site does all the work for you. There’s even a suggested e-mail message that you can use.
