To ensure association members receive the best
possible representation and service, the
Alliance for Affordable Services Board of
Directors recently voted to increase the role of
its president to include legislative advocacy.
The unanimous vote was cast at the directors'
quarterly meeting in San Diego, Calif.
"Because the Alliance has more than doubled in size over the last two
years, the association deserves and needs the attention of a full time
leader and advocate," said Howard Segal, secretary/treasurer for the
organization. "Bill's extraordinary vision and leadership skills are
true assets to the association."
Current Alliance President William Callaghan has enthusiastically
accepted the charge and is setting up an association office in
Clearwater, Fla. He will also be making frequent visits to Washington,
D.C. on behalf of Alliance members.
Having served on the Alliance board since 1991, Callaghan is uniquely
qualified to represent association members. As an independent
consultant, he knows first-hand the challenges facing family businesses
and entrepreneurs.
The mission of the Alliance for Affordable Services is to enhance the
quality of life for American families that embrace the ideas and
philosophy of entrepreneurship.
The Alliance empowers its Members to succeed by providing quality
benefits that educate and inform them about personal, professional and
financial matters.
