The Power of Thinking Positive
Sometimes just doing isn’t enough
Why is it that we tend to believe the negative things that others day about us, but not the positive? Someone can boast for hours about how wonderful you are, and you smile graciously and downplay your actions and consider their comments over zealous. However, a person whom you’ve never met makes a facial reaction or a comment and you are convinced that you are not good enough.
If a runner comes into a race thinking that he will lose, during that last lap when his muscles are tired and achy and his body is giving in under the stress, more than likely he will give in and give up. His thoughts will become his reality. That is when the racer, who maybe wasn’t as fast but was sure she could win will come from behind, overcome the aches and pains, and cross the finish line. When you know you can’t, you will never try hard enough to actually do it.
When you remain positive, you can achieve so many more things. If you are what you think, than you can be anything. No matter how rich, poor, short, tall, strong or weak you are; there are many ways to overcome any obstacle. The trick is: what are you willing to do to achieve what you want?
A positive thinker is willing to do anything to get to the set destination. If it means going into debt, putting some things off, living minimally, and years of devotion, those choices are made for the achievement of the goal. Occasional set backs and obstacles will always arise. Be positive and know that no matter what comes, nothing can stop you from making your dreams a reality.
